Privacy policy

Who we are. Oudi Koud is published by Oudina Labs LLC, 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA — oudinalabs.com — support@oudinalabs.com. We are the "business" / "controller" for the limited data described here.

Your projects stay on your computer. Plans, equipment, measurements and any site or customer names you type are processed only on your device and saved in files you choose. We do not receive, store or view them. The app runs a local server on 127.0.0.1 (your own computer), protected by a secret generated at each launch; it is not reachable from the network.

What the app sends to us (version check). When it starts, and about every 12 hours while open, the app downloads one small signed file, https://oudikoud.oudinalabs.com/policy.json, to check that your version is still allowed. This request necessarily reveals your IP address and a user-agent text containing only the app name and version (for example OudiKoud/0.1.0) to our website host. We do not send your projects, your name, an account, a device ID or any usage data, and we do not use this request to track or profile you. If you are offline, the app works with its last saved check for a limited time and then limits itself to opening, saving and exporting your files.

Website and hosting. The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), which keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser type) for its own retention periods, which we do not control. We use no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or social-media trackers, no session recording, no fingerprinting and no third-party scripts or fonts; every file, including fonts, is served from our own site.

What is stored on your computer. A small protected file in %LOCALAPPDATA%\OudiKoud (highest app version run, last version-check file, time markers, an integrity code) and a record that you accepted the terms (version, hash, date). It holds no personal data and is removed when you uninstall the app or delete the folder.

Why we process it, and legal bases (EU/UK). To keep the app safe and up to date and to enforce version rules: our legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Your IP address is processed in the United States by our host.

Sale, sharing, advertising. We do not sell or share personal information (as "sell" and "share" are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act/CPRA and similar state laws), we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling, and we do not collect sensitive personal information. We respond to Global Privacy Control and "Do Not Track" signals by default, because we do not track.

Your rights. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other US states; the EU/UK; Algeria under Law 18-07), you may ask to know, access, correct, delete or object to processing of personal information about you, and to appeal a refusal. We hold only the transient log data described above, so there is usually nothing to return or delete, but write to support@oudinalabs.com and we will answer within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. In the EU/UK you may complain to your data-protection authority.

Children. Oudi Koud is a professional tool for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 in the EU/UK. There are no accounts or sign-ups.

Email. We send no marketing email and have no mailing list. We only answer messages you send to support. Any future marketing email will carry a working unsubscribe link and our postal address (CAN-SPAM).

Payments and subscriptions. The trial has no payments and no automatic renewal. If paid licences or credits are offered later, they will be opt-in, will show price, term and renewal rules before purchase, and will be cancellable online in the same way they were bought, and this policy will be updated first.

Planned features. Optional AI assistance (not in this version) would send data only after an explicit, per-action confirmation showing what is sent; customer projects would not be used to train models by default. We will update this policy before any such feature is released.

Security. The version file is cryptographically signed, delivered over HTTPS, and the app accepts only files signed with our key. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Changes. We will update the date above and announce material changes in the app release notes and on this page.
